Layer Accordingly LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Layer Accordingly mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Data you provide: The App allows you to build a personal fragrance collection, save wishlists, rate layering combinations, and add personal notes. All of this data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Fragrance search data: When you search for fragrances, your search queries are sent to the Fragella API (fragella.com) to return results. We do not store or log your search queries.
No account required: The App does not require you to create an account or provide any personal identifying information such as your name, email address, or payment information.
All personal data — including your fragrance collection, wishlist, ratings, combo notes, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not have access to this data, and it is not backed up to any external server.
Fragella API: We use the Fragella API to power fragrance search and data. Your search queries are sent to Fragella's servers to return results. Please review Fragella's privacy policy at fragella.com for information on how they handle data.
Affiliate links: The App and this website contain affiliate links to third-party retailers including Amazon, and may in the future include links to Sephora, Ulta, Scentbird, and other retailers. When you tap an affiliate link, you are directed to that retailer's website or app. We may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. Layer Accordingly LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, Layer Accordingly earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links inside the App are labeled "ad" near the retailer button. These third-party retailers have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.
Expo / React Native: The App is built using Expo and React Native. Expo may collect limited technical diagnostic data. Please review Expo's privacy policy at expo.dev for more information.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete your data at any time by deleting the App from your device. We do not retain any of your personal data on our servers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
